So, I decided to change the name of this here bloggy-blog to “Ampersand Why”. It’s clever, right? Like, maybe the coolest thing you’ve ever seen in your life next to American Apparel selling vibrators? No? Is it at least as cool as the The Garbage Pail Kids movie? Come on. You gotta give me that one.
So, I saw Wall-E this weekend like so many other nerds. The movie really is top-notch. All the hype is totally deserved.
Also, before you hear about it from someone else, or someone posts a phone cam video of it, I totally cried at the end. Like, big wet tears. I think I even elbowed the chick sitting next to me when I wiped my eyes. And if that chick was you, sorry!

Somehow I ended up in Ogunquit, Maine this past weekend. You know how them gays love their quaint little New England towns! So I was there, had brunch with the gays, and went to an antique store on the way home. Here are a couple pictures from the trip. Unfortunately I couldn’t get a photo of the print of a small girl sleeping on a platter. She looked delicious. I mean, adorable…

The Take Away Shows, if you haven’t seen them, are brilliant. I first fell in love with them when I saw a clip of Sufjan Stevens singing on a rooftop while trying not to be blown off by crazy winds. Last night I checked in to see a great clip of Yeasayer in Paris. I just love the energy and excitement that these impromptu shows capture. That feeling of being young and in love with music and seeing life as a world of possibilities. Or maybe it just seems exciting compared to my evening of Family Guy reruns and eating my feelings.
There’s another clip of this sort of excitement over on Pitchfork featuring HEALTH. For the life of me, I can’t ever remember having that much energy. Even when I was young and full of sugar, the most energy I ever had was when I beat a video game and would run around the house telling my family members who could care less. Sorry, yall.
And because I’m in a sharing mood, here’s a couple songs that I’m loving at the moment. Enjoy.
Fleet Foxes – “Mykonos”
Yeasayer – “2080″
Also check out Beach House’s video for “Gila” on Pitchfork. I’m scared of the kids making music today. Eep.

Finally, I have found a plant that I can’t kill. And it’s crocheted! Dudua makes these everylasting beauties as well as other fun handmade things in their shop.
